AKRON, Ohio – The Akron Symphony Orchestra announced Monday that it has rescheduled two upcoming concerts, Baroque Virtuosos and Gospel Meets Symphony, due to concerns about player and public safety given the recent increase in COVID-19 cases.

Initially scheduled for January 15, 2022, Baroque Virtuosos is now scheduled for Saturday May 14 at 8 p.m. Gospel Meets Symphony, previously scheduled for February 12, 2022, will now be held on Saturday June 18 at 7:30 p.m. Both events will take place at EJ Thomas Hall (198 Hill St., Akron).

Tickets already purchased for events will be honored on the new dates. The symphony also offers vouchers for other concerts as an alternative. Vouchers are available at the ticket office of the symphony orchestra.

  • Gospel Meets Symphony – Saturday June 18, 2022 at EJ Thomas Hall
