Current and future Wolverines prepare for U20 World Championships

ANN ARBOUR, Mich. — Five current or incoming members of the University of Michigan track and field program will be among the sport’s rising stars competing at the U20 World Championships in Track and Field Monday-Saturday (August 1-6) in Cali, Mo. Colombia.

The rise of sophomores Miles Brown (United States) and Savannah Sutherland (Canada) will be joined at the Pascual Guerrero Olympic Stadium by future Wolverines Cade Moran (United States), Yemi Mary John (Great Britain) and Riley Flemington (Canada).

Similar to the World Championships in Athletics which wrapped up last weekend in Eugene, Oregon and featured a trio of top five from Joshua Zeller, Dubem Amene and Cindy (Ofili) Sember, the U20 World Championships bring together the world’s best talent in every event.

U20 Championships are reserved only for those who are 19 years of age or younger in the calendar year in which the Championships are contested.

Below is information on all five competitors, including when and how to watch their competitions live. The encounter will air on Peacock, with selective coverage on CNBC.

Savannah Sutherland (Canada) | 400 meters hurdles women
