2022 Nobel Prize in Physics

Alain Aspect, John F. Clauser and Anton Zeilinger receive the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics. The winners are honored with a prestigious award for their experiments with entangled photons, establishing the violation of Bell’s inequalities and pioneering the science of quantum information. Syukuro Manabe, Klaus Hasselmann and Giorgio Parisi received the Nobel Prize in 2021.

Indore ranked first in list of cleanest cities

Indore has been ranked the cleanest city in India for the sixth time in a row at the Swachh Survekshan Awards. Surat and Navi Mumbai ranked second and third respectively in the central government’s annual cleanliness survey. The ranking was done in two categories – more than one lakh and less than one lakh.

Pankaj Tripathi is the national icon of the Election Commission of India

Mirzapur actor Pankaj Tripathi has been named a “National Icon” by India’s Election Commission. The award-winning actor has become a “national icon” based on his association with ECI in voter education. The announcement was made by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar.

2022 Nobel Prize in Literature

French author Annie Ernaux received the 2022 Noble Prize for Literature. She was rewarded for the courage and clinical acuity with which she discovers the roots, the distances and the collective constraints of personal memory. Annie was born on September 1, 1940. Writer and professor of French literature, her work, mostly autobiographical, is closely linked to sociology.

Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel wins UN Refugee Agency award

Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel will receive the 2022 UNHCR Nansen Refugee Award. Merkel will receive the award from the UN refugee agency for her “political courage” and the decisive steps taken during her tenure to protect those forced to flee. Merkel was honored for her determination to protect asylum seekers and defend human rights.

2022 Nobel Prize in Chemistry

The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has decided to honor Carolyn R. Bertozzi, Morten Meldal and K. Barry Sharpless with the 2022 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. The prize will be awarded for the development of click chemistry and bioorthogonal chemistry . The Nobel Prize in Chemistry aims to simplify difficult processes.

India’s First Micro-Grade Drone Certification by DGCA

India’s first micro category drone type certification has been received by Asteria Aerospace Limited for its primitive design A200 drone from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The drone was found to be fully compliant with the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Certification Scheme notified in January 2022.

2022 Nobel Peace Prize

The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided to award the 2022 Nobel Peace Prize to human rights defender Ales Bialiatski from Belarus, the Russian human rights organization Memorial and the Ukrainian human rights organization Center for Civil Liberties. Nobel Peace Prize laureates represent civil society in their country of residence.

Surveillance monitoring system

Shaktikanta Das, the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India has launched a new initiative “SupTech” Daksh. The central bank’s advanced surveillance system is expected to make surveillance processes more efficient. The app would enable seamless inspection communication, planning and execution.

President of the UAPA Tribunal

The central government has appointed Justice Dinesh Kumar as the chairman of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) tribunal. He is the judge of the High Court of Delhi and was appointed as the presiding judge in the case of the People’s Front of India and its associates. Sharma was appointed to deal with the banning of PFI and its associates for five years.
